"Soundarya Natya Kalalaya founded by its Artistic Director, Gayatri Subramanian is a branch of "Soundarya Natya Kalalaya Foundation", Mumbai spearheaded by it's Founder/Director Guru Smt. Padmini Radhakrishnan. The institution is dedicated to teaching the traditional style of Bharatanatyam and it's nuances.
Our students get a structured and rigorous training in dance and also on theory taken from the "Natyashastra" which equally contributes to the field of Bharatanatyam. Students' performance is evaluated on a regular basis and they are encouraged to participate in the Academy's Annual recitals/fundraisers, competitions and much more. Soundarya Natya Kalalaya grooms aspiring young students who are the budding artists.
Since the age of 18, Gayatri took up teaching dance in several branches of her Guru's institution in Mumbai including at IIT (Indian Institute Of Technology), Powai, Kendriya Vidyalaya (Central School), India. With more than 8 years of teaching experience in India she moved to Atlanta and has been offering classes since 2003."
